Who Martin Bidzinski
Is as a Coach

I was born in Cupar, Fife, and my coaching journey spans more than four decades. In that time, I’ve focused on one thing: creating better football players through innovation. My work zeroes in on the essential skills that make the difference in cultivating true two-footed ability, a precise first touch in any direction, and the tactical intelligence to compete at the highest level.

My philosophy moves beyond the traditional “always forward” mindset. Instead, I focus on developing what I call ‘360-degree players’: athletes who are comfortable in all directions, who can protect possession under pressure, and who truly understand the beautiful game.

About My Book

My real education in coaching started in the early 1980s at Bolton Wanderers, where I’d watch training sessions under manager Ian Greaves. For years afterward, I made it my mission to study how professional clubs developed their players. What I discovered, frankly, shocked me. The standard, generic training methods of the time created competent footballers, but they rarely produced truly exceptional talent. In this book, I’m sharing the insights and methods that proved to be far more effective.
